iBill owned you

I stumbled upon this document that I think many of you would be interested in reading about Ibill. This quote will show you what I mean:

Quote:

As a result of Nexcend's five-year membership and marketing agreement with iBill, we believe that our proposed XTV business will be able to market its products and video services to the entire iBill database of several thousand Web merchants and approximately 29.0 million consumers who have processed
transactions involving adult content using the iBill system. We believe that this will provide us with a substantial opportunity to rapidly penetrate the consumer market for our adult entertainment products without the extensive costs associated with attempting to purchase a consumer database or engaging in direct advertising.
These are our customers and they don't have any right to be mailing these individuals out. There's so much in that document so let the drama begin!

Could you give us a brief on what that partnership is?

Hmm anyway, I guess going into the mailing business wouldnt be the smartest Ibill move, but then, who knows if they have any moves left.... :winkwink:

XTV? Is it this? http://www.xtv.com/

Nysus 12-15-2004 04:20 PM

I imagine if that is found to be true that people will be pissed and seek damages.

I'm guessing IBill won't make any statement regarding this?

I'm sure everyone will leave IBill if they found out what the plans were.

I'm sure IBD would not do anything they do not have the right to do being that they are a public company. and yes. www.xtv.com is the website. See you all at the Show.

Nysus, I-bill does not own XTV. If I-Bill did a deal with a company to give them a liscence to their database Thats not XTV's problem. Besides, I am confident that having owned Holio.net I can get to everyone they have on their list..

IMHO your post assumes readers know who you are in relation to this topic. :)

Damn. I just read that prospectus. iBill's problem isn't iBill! It's the company that owns it! No matter how well iBill does, the parent company is going to drag it down!

They are trying to make the best out of nothing

Sad. but I suspect 100% accurate...

It is little more than paper shuffling.. closely linked to habits displayed by Enron and a fair number of other corps..
