Regular Gas or Premium?

What do you put in your vehicles?

Living For Today 12-14-2004 05:20 PM

BP Ultimate 98 Octane.

It's worth spending the extra few cents a litre to protect your car and save the environment. And it gets more mileage so technically speaking it really comes out at about the same price.

Whatever the manual says

Peaches 12-14-2004 05:21 PM

Regular. When I bought this car I made sure it would take regular (at least per the owner's manual).

Dildozer 12-14-2004 05:21 PM

always top grade, you should too, i think BMW also recommends it

Ice 12-14-2004 05:21 PM

Highest octane possible :glugglug

Rob 12-14-2004 05:23 PM

I'm putting the highest octane in my BMW and used to in my H2 but have since switched to regular 97 octane.

Premium will give you a higher MPG, but I take you already knew that. It also burns cleaner, with less emissions, meaning also a longer life for your engine. I'd go with the premium stuff.

poisson 12-14-2004 07:06 PM

ethanol-gas mix :thumbsup

fuzebox 12-14-2004 07:23 PM

Wow, you guys know your cars.

Playful_Lady 12-14-2004 07:24 PM

Regular

Living For Today 12-14-2004 07:27 PM

If you have a decent car I dont know why you wouldnt use top quality fuel. Unless you drive an extreme amount of ks in a year it is not going to cost you more than $100 - $200 extra per year to save your car and the environment.

Premium, I usually go to sunoco for the ethanol blends...

mmmm ethanol.

iwantchixx 12-14-2004 07:56 PM

gas refining plants pump up the octane in the winter in canada, so I'm buying supreme for regular price this time of year.

Magg 12-14-2004 07:59 PM

My car says that it only takes premium, so thats all I put in it

reynold 12-14-2004 08:06 PM
