As always, I'm on the lookout for good new programs. But also for programs that aren't 100% upfront with the consumer.

Everything looked great until I saw the "Free Dialer" option on the sign-up site. Unfortunately, first it is anything but "FREE".

Second, I realize in small print, you indicate "International Rates Apply". But, of course, nowhere on the site are these "rates" disclosed. I can guarantee, it will be a lot more then the $29.95 per month that surfers might be lead to believe by the credit card rates.

Sorry, 2 thumbs down for this consumer trap.

As far as Your statement regarding this site as a "consumer trap", I feel this is totally unwarranted & without merit.

I've tested the site using both a U.S. ip and a Canadian ip.

Both give me the following payment option, on the screen immediately following the entering of an email address:

Online Check

Or completely anonymous with
free dialersoftware
LAN / DSL Access

Both the "free" dialersoftware and the LAN / DSL options take the surfer to a 900 number, which, as stated previously, does not disclose the rate charged, beyond small print which indicates, International rates apply.

Correction...the sign-up page alternates between:

free dialersoftware - which again, is a 900 number, with no rates disclosed

free access software, which brings up this number 1010880-011-972-1200011 - obviously an overseas number, where I can just imagine what the undisclosed "International Rates" will amount to.

Ok lets start with the beginning...

#1 The software is Free! We never claim the service is...

#2 In general the dialer is a mainly European billing system. If the user chooses to utilize the dialer, that is their prerogative, We are not forcing them, nor do we send the user directly to a dialer. Depending upon the country, there are usually multiple payment options for the user to select from. We find many that use the dialer, do it to stay anonymous for one reason or another. As far as North American users, I do not know of many who utilize the dialer, as most pay via CC or Direct Debit or some other payment method.

#3 As far as pricing for the surfer on dialer, the Telecoms as well as government agencies regulate pricing, so we abide to their guidelines and rules.

So are we all clear now?

The site works a bit differently than most. You would not gain access to the site until you have paid your membership. We not only provide cams with the package, but other content as well. There is an area where if you click on the gallery of the cam host and enter your email address, you will gain access to view their photo galleries.
