20-pound bale of pot delivered to food bank
December 6, 2004 ? There was more than grub in a load of watermelons dropped off at a Maine food bank.

Drug agents are investigating how a 20-pound bale of pot got mixed in with the melons delivered to the Good Shepherd Food-Bank in Auburn. A volunteer found the weed, which was neatly wrapped with packing tape. The volunteer says it was definitely bizarre.

Authorities believe the pot was loaded into the truck in Mexico. They think the smuggler either forgot about the weed, or was forced to abandon it. So far, no one has called to claim the pot.
