Goddamn! Converting 3,947,210 users takes a long time......
 

Started at 10am this morning (17.5 hours ago) and only finished 1,365,340 so far.....

The good news is that this is to our demo server which is FreeBSD (mysql runs much better on linux) and not that powerful.....so things should go MUCH faster on our new Dual 3.6 GHZ 4 GIG ram Linux machine :)

Affiliates, worry not however; downtime for site launch will probably be about 10-15 minutes to switch everything over and will be done at our least peak time (around 4am EST) :thumbsup

Yeah we estimate in the past we've deleted about 1-1.5 million users since we began (so our DB could survive the load hehe)...we shouldn't need to ever do that again though with our new infrastructure :)

That means we would have been past 5 million users - a lot of horny people :glugglug

My goal for 2005 is 40,000 new profiles a week.....then we will gain 2 million members / year.

No we offer monthly memberships, not per-minute billing...we're a dating site :)
