Just go buy a small coffee with every certificate and keep the cash.

psyko514 12-13-2004 05:30 PM

they make awesome stocking stuffers :)

FredIsMe 12-13-2004 05:32 PM

gift certificates have to be the dumbest present someone could possibly buy. You give a company (ie McDonalds, or Wal-Mart)) cash and they give you a piece of paper or card which is also known as a gift certificate. This "certificate" is non-cash refundable, it expires within a year or so, and you can only use it at that place of business (ie McDonalds, or Wal-Mart). If you want to give someone money give them cash and not a piece of shit paper or card.

Indica 12-13-2004 05:34 PM

agreed, My father in law gave us mastercard gift certificates ...can be used pretty near anywhere.
a nice change from the walmart ones he gave us last year. :BangBang:

ProjectNaked 12-13-2004 05:35 PM

What is worse, companies issuing the "credit-card" style gift cards start too charge you a small "maintainance" fee on the card starting after one year. Don't believe me, read the small print on the back. total scam!

:feels-hot

tranza 12-13-2004 05:36 PM

actually no. every meal from mcdonalds takes 24 hours away from your lifespan, lol. so i'd rather have NOTHING! :)

I'm pretty sure the report on CNN a few weeks ago suggested that you don't buy the credit card & bank gift certificates simply because of the limitations that put on them & the charges for each purchase or monthly charge + expiry dates.

Gift certificates is what you get for someone as a last resort... either it's last minute, or you have no clue wht else to get them.

Ummm cash. And if you think it's too plain tape a McDonalds logo on it to make it the best McDonald's gift certificate you could get.

honestly, dude....you can substitute ANY restaurant for mcdonalds in that doc with almost the same results

fact is, you eat fried foods 24/7 for one month you will feel the wrath....doesn't matter where from

fried/overly processed foods in those quantites is horrible for you, whether you make it at home or get it from mcdonalds

well of course it isn't true. but you can be assured that if you ate healthier it's almost guaranteed that you will live significantly longer.

edit: and although you may not care now about an additional 5 to 15 years added on to the end of your life - chances are you will then.

Supersize Me wasn't directed at McDonalds it was directed at all fast food places. McDonalds is just the most known fast food place which is why he based it around McDonalds. And if this "Happy Go Lucky", "Kiddy Loving" fast food restaurant has food that is extremely unhealthy than all other fast food places have food just as bad.
