Ok, Christmas dinner, who's eating what? Its coming up!

I have 4-5 different Christmas dinners to attend. I can't fucking wait!

My step-dads mom always has Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. Every year its usually something different, but last year she bought a huge prime rib slab, I'm not sure what you would call it. Was in the oven ALL day and smelled SO good. Going to her house for Christmas dinner is usually the best as she fills her bar counter up with all sorts of snacks and other great Christmas treats. Shrimp, meat balls, dips, etc. And of course she always has a variety of alcohol flowing!

Christmas day my mom has dinner. Usually a little more laid back but pretty fun. A counter of snacks but not as elaborate, mostly cheese and crackers, that sort of thing. Every year the main course is something different. Ham sandwiches, turkey and dressing sandwiches... this year I think we're having Italian beef sandwiches. This group of people is more into beer than alcohol, so I may need to bring a little Jack to spice it up a bit!

Day after Christmas I go to my grandmas from my dads side. Large family so there's usually plenty of good food, tons of desserts. My aunts love to bake, especially since one is a home-maker. Pies, cookies, cakes, the list doesn't stop. The main course... its hard to say but I'll take a guess at ham. One year we had wild turkey and dressing sandwiches, my dad shot the bird the day before. Not much of a drinking group, 2-3 bears per "drinking" person. Though the "kids", such as myself, usually bring a drink of choice.

Then last, but CERTAINLY not least, is Christmas at my house for the friends and such. Always a fun time. I thought long and hard about what to have as a main course and finally came down to a roast with potatoes and carrots in the crock pot and a chicken in the oven. Last year I had 2 roasts and I didn't want to do that again, so I added chicken to the menu. :)

Alright, what's on your holiday dinner menu? Better be something good! :thumbsup

My daughter and I will go somewhere . . . haven't figured out where yet.

Any suggestions?

I've never been out to eat for a holiday type dinner so I don't really know. You could always cater in from the grocery store for a pretty reasonable price. I think $20-30 should go a long ways and you would have plenty of leftovers.

I'll probably just copy what you're going to do.

And since when do you eat anything other than Healthy Choice and Marie Callendar's?
