BATTLE OF THE SUBMITTERS -- Advanced vs. Chameleon vs. AdultSubmitter.com

What's your take? who saves you the most time and makes you the most money? and why?

feel free to include your ref code for the newbs, but justify your decision, don't be a douchebag and just post a ref code link.

Got to say I like Chameleon all the way. Just so easy to use.

candyflip 12-13-2004 10:35 AM

Chameleon all the way.

It's easy. It's fast. It's got a great database.

candyflip 12-13-2004 10:38 AM

I had never heard of AdultSubmitter - looks like they just redirect to GallerySubmitter.com.

I've used GallerySubmitter.com and it too is a great system. I use it to submit galleries for their sponsors, so it's free. Have also paid for submissions and was pleased with the results.

Chameleon is still my first choice.

what does chameleon do better than advanced and gallerysubmitter.com?

Chameleon provides a database that is constantly updated. GallerySubmitter does this as well. Advanced Submitter charges for their database, and it isn't updated as regularly as the others.

GallerySubmitter costs you per submit, if you want to submit something other than the sponsors connected to them. I was $1.25 per submit...not sure about the pricing now, but I'm sure Broda will be in this thread soon enough.

I'm a AdvancedSubmitter fan....

But I'd like to know why so many people are answering Chameleon?? Is it cheaper so everybody is using it?

Anybody have experince with both to compare?

Burridge 12-13-2004 10:52 AM

what about databases? do gallerysubmitter.com and chameleon update databases so well, that you don't have to worry, or are you still manually updating your DB's to stay on to of your game?

They do a great job of managing the database. You're also able to make changes it it yourself. Like adding your partner submit info for instance. It's simple to do.

It's actually more expensive if you buy it outright. You can get started using it for less...only takes $20, as you can "lease" it for that price per month.

Anything that Advanced Submitter can do, Chameleon can do easier, better and quicker.

But again, this is just my opinion. I have used and continue to use a host of different submit tools.

Hell...I have TGSW still running on one of my servers.

Yeah that's expected, but do you find yourself updating the DB manually all the time, or do you just trust the chameleon boys to update it right? It's a big time management issue.

I've been using the program since they first released it. I've never had an issues with the database. So I'd have to say I trust them to keep the database in good order. I don't think people would be praising their product so much if this wasn't the case.

The only updates I make are to add new info to sites I am now a partner with. So nope, I'm not spending much time at all.

Strife 12-13-2004 11:08 AM

To get the most out of Chameleon, you'll still need to add to their exiting db and gets partner accounts.

It's a good choice. I run it on 5 machines here each day.

I own two full copies and pay per month on the others.

It's definitely worth every penny I've put into it.

Hm.. strange thing you're not mentioning dreamsubmitter.. coz DS is THE proggie you need when it comes to serious gallery submitting.. v2.0 will be out very soon, and it will kick ass!

Last I looked it didn't really have a database though...and if you have to do your own database then there's no point in switching from advanced submitter

I got one of my employees using Chameleon and after I bought the e-mail confirmer it made his job alot easier.

My other employee has Advanced submitter and I agree the database was an extra charge which I thought was kind of weird.

Both are pretty good at it right now but I only have them submit 2 galleries per day for me each.

I want to get another employee up on another submission software but I am not sure between Dream Submitter and Russian, anybody using those?

Well, I can recommend Mighty Submitter - database is big enough, updated weekly at least, keeping only quality and alive TGP/MGP/LL and can be completely customized to conform all your desires.

But the most important is that this tool can do anything others do and even more! The most full-featured submission tool you can ever find!

This is something that has been overlooked here so far - Chameleon's Confirmer add-on simplifies the process a lot!

:thumbsup

i've only used advanced submitter, I like it and never saw the need to try anything else.
