I had to go look that one up - i had heard about it recently and assumed it was a joke. Ladies nights generally have a huge cover charge for men just so they can let ladies in for free ... we aren't talking about penalizing men, just offering a different package for women - generally they end up spending the same, its just presented differently.

the 'merits' of women members is that they chat more, they fill message boards and generally make a site more active.

every single case of marketing could be twisted to fit the definition of discrimination - anything that is *for* a particular target audience is against everyone who isn't that audience.

i don't care what's happening in californian 'lets get some press for free' law. besides, its only discrimination if someone gets hurt or complains!! :winkwink:
