Tell you that they want to see how good of a designer you are and then ask you to throw together a few "samples" for them to look at without paying anything?

Even when you have a portfolio posted online, they still try to get free design work out of you. Does this happen to you a lot? Do you demand full payment before you design anything?

happens all the time. I'm usually a pushover about it too.

I have a core group of clients that I love to work with and they trust me 100%, but there's always someone who wants something extra.

those are tricks, so don't share your design to them they will steal it.
