Vaginal Plastic Surgery
"As millions of women inject Botox, reshape noses, augment breasts, lift buttocks and suck away unwanted fat, a growing number are now exploring a new frontier, genital plastic surgery. They are tightening vaginal muscles, plumping up or shortening labia, liposuctioning the pubic area and even restoring the hymen, sometimes despite their doctors' skepticism about the need for such cosmetic measures. Procedures that once were reserved for problems like incontinence, congenital malformations or injuries related to childbirth are now being marketed by some gynecologists and plastic surgeons as 'vaginal rejuvenation,' surgical techniques to enhance sexual satisfaction and improve the looks of the genitals." ?New York Times (US)
(Thanks to Erect Scumson for the link.) It should come as absolutely no surprise that women are now spreading their legs for plastic surgeons. After all, we live in a world of penis piercings, clit clamps, and "genitorture." If people are willing to pay half-trained needle-wielding amateurs to put earrings in their crotches, why shouldn't they pay professional surgeons to spruce up the area too? Apparently there are several different types of vaginal plastic surgery a woman can get. A vaginoplasty tightens up the vaginal muscles. Labiaplasty reduces the labia minora. Hymen reconstruction restores virginity, at least technically. And sometimes there are relatively good reasons for undergoing such procedures, as when a woman has such large labia that it causes discomfort for her to ride a bicycle. On the other hand, a lot of women are also undergoing these procedures purely for aesthetic purposes. The exhibitionism of contemporary culture makes them scrutinize their privates more. Women compare themselves to porn queens, or they realize that their pussy lips protrude through skimpy bikinis, or they go to get their pubes styled and feel embarrassment at the girth of their gash, and so they decide to go under the knife. From the vantage point of a male, it is pretty astonishing that women would elect to have their vaginas cut up just for aesthetic reasons. On one hand, men are squeamish about the thought of having knives anywhere near their genitalia ? since, of course, men have something to lose. Isn't there a fine line, a man asks himself, between elective vaginal surgery and the ritual clitorectomies to which feminists object so strongly? And on the other hand, so long as ladies "keep it clean in-between," a man can enjoy different sorts of vaginas. Some guys like blondes, some like brunettes. What makes women believe that men don't make the same distinctions with genitalia? Big labia, small labia ? variety is all part of the fun. Finally, can anyone doubt that it will only be a matter of time before vaginal surgery horror stories hit the news? Sooner or later some insecure chick will take elective surgery to its extreme and end up with a hahahaha like Michael Jackson's nose. Her clit will fall off or her lips will need daily Botox injections to keep them from disappearing. She'll sue her evil surgeon, and then lawmakers will have to debate whether they should set limits on unnecessary surgery. "Where will they stop?" some conservative senator will exclaim. "They practically want to reinvent the way we pee!" |
