Can you write money you spend in strip clubs off your taxes?
:)
|
I don' think so, unless you have a REALLY good accountant :1orglaugh
|
psyclogical help? stress releaving? :Graucho
|
Absolutely... it's called 'research'
|
As long as it was paid with a business CC or other means, and was used for a business, YES.
I have done it |
Yes u can !All you need to do write one check for total amount as a buss meeting to the strip club they will give you cash back to spend on the girls. That will show on youre books as a luncheon:winkwink:
|
you can write anything you want off until you get audited

yes

i imagine that if you are in the adult entertainment business you could make an argument for expensing lap dances as a paid talent trial, getting a receipt may be tough though
|
Sure you can, but you'll get audited the next day.

something like this would only be uncovered during an audit, it wont cause an audit as long as your expenses are reasonable and you have good tax lawyers the worse that will happen is that the expense or part of it will be denied |
So as long as I pay with a CC or check then it's feasible? It really is a business expense -- going to the club and trying to find models...
Drinks, dances, cover charge, everything? I was only thinking of writing off the dances... it's easier to talk to the girl when you're alone with her in the back... |

NO SHIT. if you spend 5 minutes thinking about why they are strippers in the first place, you would know why not to hire them. |
LOL :)
|
Do it, just pray your not one of the lucky few that get audited at "random"
|
You don't even have to be in the industry for this!
Other companies that are have ZERO connection to the adult entertainment business take clients to restauraunts, clubs, and yes, strip joints. If they can do it, I'd say we have even greater justification! So yes, definitely it can be taken off as a biz expense. Disclaimer: I am not an accountant nor attorney, nor do I play one on TV. |
Yes, if you can take bussiness clients. You can hold your company Christmas and meeting there too :thumbsup
