Mailer tech issues (help)..
I need views and help on ensuring view ratio/delivery of mails are high from a new mailing system.
We have developed a nice mail capture/dual opt in system that works across a load of sites - databases them and allows us to mail from a text editor by niche or globally. What factors are to be taken into account to ensure high delivery ratio's? IE: not getting discarded by spam filters etc Will this just get filtered out? Anything i need to add to ensure they get through better? The system uses php script to mail individually through the servers sendmail. (please no-anti-spam brigade hollyists. They are all clean dual opt in lists ) Cheers |

Anyone got ideas? |

Ok Spammer. The first thing you need to do is make sure that you are compliant with the spam law. Opt in or not you have to.
Make sure also that the customer knows where the mail is comming from. Using a single subject line will always help. Also tell the customer when he opts in, to watch for mail with " AAAAAAAAAA" subject line. If they find it in the trash bin, to make sure to put it in the good mail folder. Now Die spammer! :1orglaugh |
lol i knew this would end up with spammer death threats ;)
pornguy: thanks for the input. The dual optin system has this sort of thing already - the whole thing is branded so they will see in the title the same message each time just with new date. And Yes they are compliant Yes the are clean dual opt ins ;) Anyone know of any technical issues that could screw up reciept? Using Send mail en mass |
