I'm looking to re-locate to Canada (Ontario) and am wondering what the specific rules of operation are for legal porn sites in Canada.

Any adivce, links etc. etc. would be much appreciated.

No shit man, dont be coming here in October, wait til April whene you can actually see grass. If you are going to move to Ontario, stay away from Toronto http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif its the armpit of ontario.

Rice_Master 10-04-2001 10:05 AM

Where about Ontario are you moving to? I'm in windsor ontario. I love it here, tax free!

Swanky 10-04-2001 10:09 AM

Well it looks like I'm moving to the Armpit or ontario then.... Toronto here I come.

I know its cold as shit there, I grew up in Rochester NY so yes I know how miserable it can be.

But I don't have that much choice in the matter.

How do you handle the Tax Free stuff?

Makaveli 10-04-2001 10:10 AM

Don't listen to these guys. Come now. Hurry though because in a few months it will be winter.. As for rules for porn sites I'm not to clear on them but, just stay away from CP, Rape, Torture, bestiality etc and you will be fine.. Oh yeah anywhere outside of Toronto is rednecks and farmers.. Move to the T.Dot.O!!! http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif

Elvis,
where you going to be hanging now that the paint can is closed down?

If you wanna move somewhere to do porn don't come to Canada. Takes here are still way high. You're looking at 30% income tax + GST on all goods 7% when you buy crap and in some provinces there's also PST tax.

Rice_Master 10-04-2001 11:10 AM

Haha that's funny, nobody says you have to pay tax! keep it all to yourself man. You work hard for it, so keep it.

Rocky 10-04-2001 11:57 AM

that was very funny Rhizome

thanks, i needed a laugh

Thanks for the many many posts.

Canadians rock!!

I'll see you all there soon.

Lap dances $20 canadian. That's cheap.

Platinum Dave 10-07-2001 05:30 PM

Welcome to Canada,

Toronto is a great city, the night life here is like no other, so many clubs, bars, disco, all downtown.

Toronto downtown is actually happening at night, unlike majority of US cities where the downtown is empty.

Toronto smells like urine? Never heard that one before, big city, what you expect I guess.

Other then the cold weather, this city rocks, but damm I hate the long winters, my only complaint. Oh ya and the taxes are murder up here, hopefully those will be coming down soon.

Cheers

by the way my balls are itchy....is there a dumb blonde in here that can scratch them for the rest of my life?

K It was me who said that Toronto is the armpit of Ontario, and for those that dont live there, but are forced to visit it from time to time. I am sure they will agree that Toronto is a hole.

And if you want to know, I am from Guelph, just 45 minutes from Toronto. There is a reason why people live in Guelph and commute to T.O for work. And its not cuz they like the hour long drive.

The saying, great place to visit, wouldnt want to live there, applies to Toronto.

Rivux 10-07-2001 09:52 PM

For excitement and entertainment, Toronto is a helluva lot better then Guelph. But I would much rather live in Guelph then in T.O.

lived at St. Clair and Yonge

spent most of my time partying on Queen St and Spadina

i never said TO was a hole, just that it had a pungent odor of stale urine - mainly in the underground tunnels and subways

having been in the arts and entertainment industry my whole life i can say that TO has a lot to offer and some amazing people to hang with

but don't kid yourself, many would gladly live anywhere else but in TO

think about the amazing areas around Algonquin Park, Lake Superior, Manitoulin Island, Pelee Island - and i love the smaller farm communities too

Janet Cardiff who just won the most prestigious award at the largest art show in the world - the Venice Biennale - was born and raised in the small farm town of Brussels, Ontario

Bruce Cockburn, Loreena McKennitt, Pierre Berton, Greg Keelor and many other famous Canadians live on farms or in small towns - and they just couldn't wait until the day they got out of Toronto

the first time i met Buddy Rich was in London, Ontario - my parents saw Louis Armstrong perform at the Stork Club in Port Stanley - i ran into Margaret Atwood on Pelee Island - partied with Gord Rayner (famous canadian artist) at his cabin in Magnetawan and i could go on and on...

never assume that things are only happening in TO

and that's just in Ontario

many prefer the overall quality of living in places like BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or NWT - but most people who rave so much about TO have never lived anywhere else

We should meet up at The Manor sometime, my buddy owns it, well his family owns it. He's in the process of opening his own club in Malton. He actually wants me to open a site for him with live cam rooms; i'm not sure if that would make very much money unless he could get some of the pornstars he has coming through to do shows well there at his place.

I lived in Van for about 4 years. King Ed & Arbutus . Great city; I used to love waking up in the morning and looking out the back of my house at the mountains. I also loved the fact that the mountains were only 15 minutes away. I had a friend who worked at Mt Seymour and we used to go up on the lifts in the spring and film the bears and their cubs feeding. I was also lucky enough to go out sailing with a friend of my family down by Point Roberts and we were following a killer whale out into the straight along the Canada-U.S. border and we looked behind us and there was a whole pod of them following us. I would recommend Vancouver to anyone as either a place to visit or live. I will probably end up moving back out there at some point in my life.
