they both kind of suck really...SNL is just too cheesy nowadays, and MAD has always been cheesy

snl is quite lame nowadays, madtv by far

SNL by a little bit, but I watch and enjoy both

SNL rollercoasters, it's good for awhile, new cast comes in and it goes down a bit until they hit their stride, then it's good agin, then it goes down again and so on

Both.. I love Stuuuuuuuuuuart on MAD TV. funny shit.

i could never really get into mad tv. ive definitely seen funny sketches, but also seen TONS of bad ones. SNL sucks most of the time too, but they get lucky and do some really funny shit once in a while. im obsessed-ed with tina fey and (even moreso) amy poehler too.

on that note, the funniest sketch comedy shows ive ever seen are Upright Citizens Brigade, Mr. Show and The Kids in the Hall, in that order.

Mad TV is goin in the right direction they are gravitating more toward the edgy side of comedy where it seems SNL is getting to be like a sketch comedy version of the view....

it is no secret that SNL has shifted the writing to appeal to the women viewers which has had an impact

(and dont debate me or get mad its a fact it has been discussed all over so do no think I'm bashing women)

The next generation of comedy skits i think will be on HBo or the likes....no holds barred comedy...imagine sketch comedy and comedic shorts with that much more latitude...

I will call it Hustler Humor

Mad Tv have to be better than SNL.

I do not watch either, but since I hang out with one of MadTV's cast members, they get my vote!
