Photoshop CS and free transform
 
Does anyone know why when i use free transform on photoshop CS any rendering I make has very jagged adges.. its like a jig saw..

I dont use CS (7.0 here) but it ought to be right beside opacity in the top bar.

Also, make sure you didn't change the zoom. That happens to me sometimes and shit looks jagged.

Unless what you're transforming is a Vector object (Pen tool, Type tool, Shape tool before Rasterizing), you'll always get some jagged edges.

Try:
selecting the object
contract by 1 pixel (select>modify>contract>1)
inverse the selection (select>inverse)
and apply a very gentle Gaussian Blur (filter>blur>gaussian blur, about .2-.5 radius)


This usually makes things a bit easier on the eyes.
