Funny how more than half the NBA players would kill to be able to get 15 points in an entire game...

sean416 12-09-2004 09:25 PM

toronto's biggest mistake was trading him..:(

Not funny at all, T-Mac has super talent.

I agree, but at the time. Carter was better.

No McGrady was still better, carter was just a better ticket seller and a name to draw fans to the arena, whereas T-Mac had no spotlight yet.

I mean Carter's first year in Toronto he average more points then T-mac best season in toronto.

Vitasoy 12-09-2004 09:57 PM

If Carter was not soo injury prone, I'd take him over McGrady.

Vitasoy 12-09-2004 10:01 PM

FG% 3P% FT%

Carter's stats are better, this is carrer stats..

he doesnt play with any heart... if I was the coach he'd be the fuckin water boy... I wouldnt let him play a second. OR even better, I'd do my best to make him as happy as possible (offer him $500 for every bucket he scores) and build up demand for him amongst other teams then trade his ass for someone on the A list. Its fuckin retarded that the raptors are looking to get sharief abdoul rehiem and nick van excel for carter and jalen rose... when raptors get players they are A list players then when they trade them they're hardly worth shit.. meh.. I should stop now, I could go on all day about how dumb the raptors management have been since day 1.

Vitasoy 12-09-2004 10:08 PM

Why are you knocking on sharief abdoul rehiem? I'd do the trade straight up if he didn't get injured. What held up the deal was 20mil a year rose had that portland didn't want to take on and if they did they didn't want to give Nick away.

Nasty D 12-09-2004 10:12 PM

Who cares about the past, Carter now has tendinitis and is a jump shooter, while T-Mac's best years are still ahead!

sickkittens 12-09-2004 10:14 PM

How many points did he score in the game and did his team win?

Vitasoy 12-09-2004 10:14 PM

I mean Shareef Abdur-Rahim carrer average is around 20 points per game same goes for Carter. A good change of scenery and he goes back to "a list"

Vince carter was still the most popular vote for the All Star game. Everybody knows he isnt happy in toronto, so if you're looking to dump him... u gotta realize he is still A-List in terms of fan recognition.. Who else is A-List? Allen Iverson, Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, McGrady, Steve Francis, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Steve Nash (IMO), Stephon Marboury (maybe) who else? yanno, im talkin big names... if they played their cards right they could get some top names. You cant really build a team around sharief, he's solid and all, but you dont build a team around him IMO.

No one in their right mind would trade those players for Carter. Even if Carter was leading the league in points... he has too much baggage

Rahim may not be A-list per say but that's the type of talent you'll get back.

Vitasoy 12-09-2004 10:25 PM

And I don't even think they'll get back talent like Rahim.. It'll probably be a package of players, for him.

That's where I see it differently, you could get someone with name recognition for carter easily if you played your cards right. It could be a package deal like carter, rose and say..... bosh. But you'd just have to paint a good picture for carter, numer one voted all star, puts up 25 points a game (out the side of your mouth: when he's happy) etc. From there you can get players like the above listed (assuming they were looking to trade).
