Search sex.com for "Lightspeed"

And it goes to a link for ASACP? What a CROCK OF SHIT!

Does anyone else think ASACP should be staffed by an elected committee? Industry politics within the current committee seems to be clouding their judgement and wasting their resources. Maybe they could focus on their real goal of removing CP from the net?

Has anyone else had enough of these assclowns running ASACP?

Hey Gary, Joan :321GFY

Lol... I can see why you're not happy.

evildick 12-09-2004 02:01 PM

Holy shit, search for Tawnee Stone and see what you get as well.

Probably the same for the rest of your models.

That's a pretty dirty trick.

I could be wrong - but that can be a default page if there are no paid listings for the keywords.

I tried Tawnee Stone and got the same page, however Jordan Capri gave me something else - not the same page - just that 'nothing was found' and other links. Have you contacted them to see if this is the case or if it's an automatic word that can't be bid on?

Maybe ASACP is bidding on the keyword?

StuartD 12-09-2004 02:02 PM

yeah, that's definitely not cool.

Funky Bastard 12-09-2004 02:03 PM

O boy!

WiredGuy 12-09-2004 02:05 PM

This practice is rather unfair of sex.com to do. A search for "child porn" on sex.com gives as a result the ASACP. That's fair. But labelling searches such as "tawnee stone" or "lightspeed" into the same category as CP is totally uncalled for Gary.

Tanker 12-09-2004 02:06 PM

hahha Steve search Tawnee Stone

you get ASACP

that traffic is worthless anyways!

Furious_Male 12-09-2004 02:08 PM

Thats a shitty thing to do without a doubt. Even more shitty then the traffic coming out of there lately.

I doubt that sex.com and ASCAP are in bed together

beside that I dont know many people that get sales out of that traffic

does anyone here get sales from that traffic?

Searching for Jordan gave me all sorts of irrelevant links. Searching for Tawnee and Lightspeed listed one site, ASACP.

There's no way that was a mistake.

GotGauge 12-09-2004 02:10 PM

We have sent them Real CP stuff, and get a letter back saying nothing they can do about it it is art or some shit...

Sly 12-09-2004 02:10 PM

Ironically, I was just fed a banner for "Teen Sluts". Haha.

LAJ 12-09-2004 02:10 PM

Say... when Jennifer Granholm, the AG of Michigan went on her witch hunt a few years ago and went after Lightspeed and about 10 other program owners with teen content (I can't remember who all she went after)... if anyone remembers the company names or featured models, what happens if you plug in their names?

FrankHolland 12-09-2004 02:11 PM

thats fucked up

I have gotten sales from that traffic. However that traffic is hot and cold. And when its cold its very cold. I have had a few positive campaigns but lately (2 months) its nothing but pure shit.

More Booze 12-09-2004 02:13 PM

So what? You dont own the word "Lightspeed".

Jman 12-09-2004 02:13 PM

Dude that is a whole crack of shit.

I agree we need an organisation like ASCAP but it should be made of members that are voted by our community.

Gary is a board member of ascap right ? So that does put them in bed together and we all know Steve's story with JOan...

Steve you have a right to be pissed but what can we do about this???

WOW....Now that's hatin.

Yanks_Todd 12-09-2004 02:16 PM

I agree, an industry watch dog should always be above politics if it is to be taken seriously. I think that is a major hurdle this biz needs to get over. Some voices need to be impartial and above politics and sponsorship dollars if we are going to ever be taken as a legitimate industry.

crockett 12-09-2004 02:17 PM

So dose this mean they are buying traffic from sex.com using your sites names? Or is it some sex.com screw up? If they are paying for those search terms and directing it at their site, I think I'd sick my lawyers on them.

Sly 12-09-2004 02:18 PM

Isn't this a Lightspeed girl? She looks familiar.

Mack 12-09-2004 02:18 PM

Hey Steve on a side note if you search the mis spells things work ok it seems.

Tawney Stone- went striaght to your stuff.

Tanker 12-09-2004 02:19 PM

I can never get behind them the way they act I have heard they things they have called people in the past

there should be a Non Profit Org that is has its board members voted in

then it might hold some weight with the adult community

whatif_3 12-09-2004 02:19 PM

kremen is on the board of asacp and there are some definiate conflics/agendas there with personal politics

i would be pissed if i were you, joan needs to address this with sex.com

polish_aristocrat 12-09-2004 02:20 PM

Interesing but I don't think it harms the Lightspeed company in any way.

If a surfer wants to join Tawnee Stone, he will join it regardless of what link sex.com is displaying as a search result on their page.

speakthetruth 12-09-2004 02:25 PM

Gary Kreman speaks the truth. Who can I talk to at Sex.com about buying some advertising?

With all due respect, elected by whom? People that are in the industry, or people that actually are members?

While I can understand why you are a little pissed, I do believe this is a private organization, expecting that they are going to open up the election of board members to the general public is a little over the top.

Have you tried buying clicks for those search terms?

sex.com isn't a great converter, they feature their links (like Overture) on many "partner" sites. Some are highly questionable. I think they hit a peak with their PPC awhile ago and in the interest of keeping profits high signed on a few partners they maybe shouldn't have.

just my :2 cents:
