Icq sucks sometimes.... did you try an older version from the url I gave you yesterday? I have been using 2002a for a long time and never seem to have problems with it

Please use Trillian, I have NEVER had a problem loading my ICQ contacts through Trillian for about 4 years now.

I hear everyone crying about their ICQ not working all the time here, just download this so I dont have to see a bunch of posts about ICQ not working. Its a really nice app.

trillian pro for the 25 bucks is totally worth it imo...

I very rarely have issues with any of my IM contacts...

and it's only when the main service is having issues, not the trillian software...

I use the "lite" free version, works like a charm

There used to be a bug where? different versions of ICQ have a different max length for the password entry field. Not sure if that was fixed across the board or not.

There is an import feature somewhere in Trillian that can grab your old contact list from ICQ. Although I don't think it works with ICQ Lite if you were using that.
