my first computer was a tandy xt with a 20mb hd ,the salesman told me its more storage that you will ever need. lol

Now that was fast for 1989, 16 years ago. IMagine how things will be 16 years from now. lol We'll be like "3GHz WOW thats slow!!"

Most 386's were 16mhz and most 286's 12 but you could get a 286 16mhz and it was much cheaper, I still have mine under my bed it cost my dad about $1500-2000 I think with monitor and mouse.
A 20mhz 386 with 2mb of ram was a mean machine back then but I think it the Tandy here is very expensive. I don't think prices have changed much I think a decent / slightlt higher than mid range spec machine will still run you a good grand in the uk. What I do I can work fine on anything over about 500mhz and 256mb of ram. |
