Canadian bank acct in Euros?
 
Is there such a bank in Canada that will let you have an account in Euros and process all the transactions in Euros?

That's interesting. I asked TD yesterday and they said they could arrange Euro accounts - needs to be done in branch.

Yep, I spoke with the manager after the teller looked at me funny and she said it wasn't possible.

i'd imagine it's possible for some sort of investment account. but not for a regular cheching or savings account.

I bank TD and have many Euro checks ( France, Italy, Germany).

Can't get an account, but they do the exchange to Can without fees, and theu credit my account right away.
The first clerk wanted to "freeze" the funds for 30 working days....
Now, they are used to me with those...

yea i cashed a couple of cheques as well with td, but i'm wondering if there's a bank that will let me use the acct as a savings acct (i would just be depositing cheques from the same company bi-weekly)

I'm just conveying what I was told by the TD client services at their customer support line -- in past, they have always had the global picture of their services and procedures.
