what's the best way to make money
 

Okay, I figure I hit 100 now, some of you guys are getting to know me, so you guys know I'm serious when I ask this question.

I'm not looking for the silver bullet, just opinion and feedback, like this:

Get some content, build a TGP gallery on a free host with good converting sponsors, submit to TGPs.

Is that the best way to go?

As long as the free host is allowed by most of the TGP's out there !

You wont make any money for 6 months, is the way you should go about it. It will take you that much time (unless you're a genius, or work 18 hours a day) to make enough to maybe survive without another job. That is not a guarantee.

I think TGP posting is the quickest way to make $$ in this biz. I'm talking quick work and fast results - but it depends on the sponsers and how good your gallery is. The up side is the quick results let you see if you're on the right track and make changes the next day.

Also (IMO) posting is the hardest job in this biz. But in my mind, once you learn how to make galleries convert, making sites that convert seems really easy so it's downhill from there.

Hey QC, you want to make a living from this biz, or at least - a fair chunk of money, yeah? Maybe you're saving for a house or a new car or something.

Let's say that you're working the galleries and making $3k month off of it. Suddenly you stop getting listed, your traffic drops, you're income is cut off. Or maybe your top referrer closes down.

Since WorldSex changed hands, I've been fucked over real good. I've not had ONE SINGLE listing. Once upon a time that site was a cash machine for me... and I did was send a gallery and wait for a big sponsor check. I'm not on the blacklist - I've found out the hard way that everyone reviews differently.

20 galleries
20 avs sites
20 warning paged free sites

Find which makes most money and take it from there. Always keep the other two in mind, though - you never know when you are going to get fucked over.

It seems like the way of this market is diversification. you never know which way the winds will blow.

Be smart - keep your regular job and enjoy the best of both worlds. If like me your network gets time consuming employ and teach someone to do the routine tasks. Don't throw months of your life away sitting at the PC while everyone else is out having fun.

TGP's are great for learning how it all ticks but along the way you should be using the TGP results to feed other ideas, if you are not doing this then start now or your future may be bleak.

If you don't have a base site on paid hosting get one now, good low BW site can be set-up for just a few $/month. Look at this base site as your control center and your presence for others to see you mean business. Feed it with your dead TGP's etc and use good free hosting to support its content and keep the BW low.

Keep all your ideas to yourself and never shout about your successes on a BB, trust nobody.

Smaller well stocked pay sites using billing co revshare can often work better on TGP's rather than using the mainstream programs everyone has seen before. Get good results for a small site and they will often cut you a deal with content and increased payments.

You just said it all right there. The word "diversification" is at the forefront of my business model at all times. NEVER put all your eggs in one basket in this biz.

TGP posting is one way, yeah. But it's limited really, especially these days. I actually got my start by making a few websites, and arranging traffic trades etc. That is solid traffic that you can count on every day, every week, and if you take a few days off here and there it won't go away like TGP traffic to galleries does. I built up a base of sites first, and built up the trades to around 12-15k or so. Slap a good mix of sponsor links on the sites, like blind per-click, banners for per-signup, and some fpa's for partnerships etc etc, trying different things. This is what pays the bills every day. Then I started submitting to TGP's, but I don't do it nearly as regularly as other guys here. I do it when I have time, and usually try to route some of the hits to my own sites while I'm at it. I'm not saying this is the right way, it's just what's worked for me and gotten me this far.

I also branched out into writing erotica, photography, model recruitment, modelling and acting talent referrals, services like graphics design & site design, and I'm also available for hire as a bodyguard http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/biggrin.gif

Yep, diversity is a biggie, and it sounds like you're on the right track. Can you diversify too much? I'm still trying to find out, I'll let you know when I do.

Dead TGP galleries

Your galleries can get listed at SE's and gather a few click well beyond the listing period even from bookmarks. Always try and get a good heading on the top of your galleries, SE's like google will place this in the index and display it in the results list. TGP's that deep archive your post may send a few clicks each day, you can add a link to your main page when this has happened. A lot of a little soon becomes a lot.
