What percent of your members recur for at least 1 month on average ?

With my latest site I'm only charging $6 / month, and after almost a month 85% of my members have yet to cancel, and therefore are about to have their cards charged again.

Is this about average ... ?

I imagine this number changes siginifcantly as the price goes up. People hopefully figure "Oh, it's only $6. I'll cancel later...."

Just curious, how many of your members recur for at least 1 month?

Thanks,

Why do you charge only $6 per month?

I would charge all surfers $29.99 :Graucho

Because my content is all pictures ... and it's an experiment.

Different business model geared towards long term profits.

So far it sounds good, but you really need to give it about 3 months to get a true working number.

Obviously the smaller the price per month the less likely they are to cancell

I think its a balancing act. You have to consider the cost of the bandwidth as well. Not to mention the server slowdown.

Looks like a poorly made TGP, but if it's working for you, all the best.

More of a paysite / pic-post hybrid, and yes it's working quite well, thanks.

price and your billing service.

I charge $29.95 / month and have a 55-60% first month rebill rate.

Your billing service may send an email prior to the rebilling which gives your clients a very easy way to stop the rebilling if they wish. Good and bad.

Good is that you never (hardley ever) have chargebacks and thus lose your billing service. Bad is that after one month the % goes down quickly.

Even when I was using probilling and the never let my clients know when they were going to be rebilled I hardley ever received chargebacks.

If you give them what you say is in your site and aggressively update you should be fine.

Great info, thanks Debbie!

I think daily update is pretty much standard in most paysites. I update everyday and haven't had any chargebacks in awhile.
