Americans have done this for years.

Nembrionic 12-07-2004 02:16 PM

Yeah, you Americans are really smart :1orglaugh

Instead of answering "I'm from Canada" to the question: "where are you from?" you spend 24.95 (+shipping) for a shirt of the people you ridicule!

:1orglaugh

I don't understand why an American would need to travel under the giuse of being a Canadian.

Do Americans get a hard time about being American when they travel?

Pipeline Q 12-07-2004 03:04 PM

I have never once encountered any anti-American sentiment in my travels to Europe.

I even have one friend in France who was surprised when I told him there was a lot of anit-French stuff in our media. He didn't know why, and he said nobody he knew there disliked the US.

I think a lot of this anti-US stuff is created right here in the US by our own media. There may be some Europeans who think bad things about the US, but it's not enough for them to act upon it right in front of an American..... So obviously the feelings are not that strong.

That was created from bottoms up by the Bush administration.
After 9/11, Chirac ( the French president for the ignorants here) even said:

" We are ALL americans " ...

But your idiot in chief, which cannot accept that people can differ from his opinion , considered the french as enemy because they didn't back the illegal US invasion ( and further occupation ) of Iraq ...
Them Rumsfeld, another genius, decided to qualify France ( and Germany) as old Europe....

Uneducated ( read Red states) americans were happy to have somebody to blame ...

Lately, that blame has shifted to the UN... but in no way could you blame yourselves for your disfortunes ...

Bad news for the Canadians...
Soon not only the Americans but also Canadians will be considered worldwide as utterly stupid, ugly and arrogant.
Thanks to the Americans of course ;)

When we go to Cuba, we say we are Canadians.

some_idiot 12-08-2004 08:37 AM

" explained T-shirtKing.com President Bill Broadbent. "It was
meant as something Republicans could give their Democrat friends
to say 'C'est la vie.' ... But maybe not c'est la vie because that's a
French word." "

Good to see they did their research on the official languages
of Canada.
