cgi script question
 

Can I get a cgi script to execute the command -

tar -xpf filename.tar

What I really need is a script that will copy a folder along with its files to another fodler of my specification with the same permissions. Is there another way to do that instead of tarring the whole folder and untarring it in the specified folder?
