1 How do you know that thousands of innocent people are dying? Where do you obtain you inside information as to their innocense?

2 Iraqi's are killing more of their fellow Iraqi's then coalition forces are but I have never seen you condemn their actions.

3 The solution for the killing to end lies in the hands of the Iraqi's...lay down their arms.

4 If you find it to be of such importance...maybe you will be willing to post...the specifics...of what you are doing to help these innocents?

When I see dead children killed by US/UK bombs and bullets I think I can be sure they are innocent.

Or perhaps we should kill them just in case they turn out to be terrorists?

I too...am certain that "children" under a certain age...are not combatants...and/or assisting combatants in one form or another...but I am just as certain that "children" above a certain age may not be an "innocent".

None the less...I do not know of any source that provides any accurate account that "thousands" of "innocent" children are dying...by "US/UK bombs and bullets"...though I am certain that some have died...and possibly "thousands". So called "innocents" die in war...and the solution for the killing of "innocents" to stop is for the Iraqi's to lay down their arms and/or stop using civilians as shields...ie their homes...their schools...their hospitals...their Mosque's etc.

What "bullshit" propaganda are you referring to? If you consider daily media accounts to be propaganda so be it. I do not rely entirely upon media accounts for my information. I have active duty friends serving in the AO and others that have served in the AO... that I have served with. Most of which are career soldiers...nearing and beyond their retirements.

Don't act like a fucking moron. Going by your "hypocrisy" argument, one wouldn't be able to say rapists are doing something bad unless one was actively doing something to stop rape or help rape victims.

Clearly, your logic is flawed. The strength of an argument is only determined by its structure and premises, not by the character of the one making the argument.

Now, you may call it pig shit, but people with a brain call it logic 101.

You are making the assumption that it is a "hypocrisy" argument. Did you ever learn that one should not make assumptions?

To use your analogy of the "rapists" if one thinks that "rapists" are important but does not think that "rapists" are of enough importance to become an activist... does not make one a hypocrite...now does it...thus the argument does not have anything to do with "hypocrisy". Unless you think that not acting for whatever one believes to be of import...makes one a hypocrite.

I have...when I felt the need to express myself. With this current intel reform bill (for National Security)...I have made my thinking known to my Congressman and to the Admin. They have left out "sealing" the borders and deporting illegal aliens...they have left out the denial of driver license for illegal aliens...they have left out securing our sea ports...they have left out protecting our food supply...they did add increased security of cargo flights but not enough...and that displeases me. Until they do these things...in my opinion...National Security is a joke.

The bill does have an increase for Air Marshals...and further airport security...but the "terrorists" have been there and done that. They will try another vunerable area on the next hit.

I tend to assume that people, when using language, want to convey meaning. Thus, I assume that what they say is not entirely random.

If you want me to, though, I'll gladly stop assuming that when reading your posts, and read them in the same way that one listens to a parrot talking - devoid of any meaning whatsoever.

hypocrisy
n 1: an expression of agreement that is not supported by real conviction [syn: lip service]

I thought your point was that Battuss talks a lot about what's going on in Iraq but fails to back that up with actions and thus show real conviction, i.e. hypocisy.
Ofcourse, if you want to claim you were making another entirely irrelevant character attack (not standing up for his beliefs), that is fine with me, and my entire arguments still stands firmly.

"...my entire arguments still stands firmly." Somehow I just knew that it would. BTW..."real conviction" does not mean that one has to become an "activist" and act upon "real conviction" ...now does it? I wonder why it is that I think...with a rather high level of confidence...that you will disagree.

One could argue - and it is indeed often argued - that "real conviction" requires one to act upon that conviction.

Now please, do tell, what is the point you were trying to make by saying he isn't doing anything himself for the people in Iraq? Was it a - by definition irrelevant - character attack?
Or was there no point at all?

Hmm...I think the same question can be asked of you...though my confidence level is high...that you will disagree.
