Young 12-06-2004 08:20 PM

1024 X 768

Ian 12-06-2004 08:23 PM

Yup, ya gotta have a big monitor or it'll kill your eyes. On a 21" it's fine and a 21" CRT doesn't cost much these days. :)

I've been on (at least) 1600x1200 with OS fonts set at 10px -- since I got my first 17". Did you really have problems at that resolution, click?

ProjectNaked 12-06-2004 08:23 PM

:1orglaugh

I'm at 1280 x 800 on one and 1024 x 768 on the other side -

:winkwink:

DesignWise 12-06-2004 08:26 PM

bigger monitor higher resolution works for me :thumbsup

Jace 12-06-2004 08:28 PM

you know someone that has not worked in video editing or photoshop much, cause they have their res set to 1024x768

once you work in video editing or big photoshop files at 1600x1200 you can't ever go back

Illicit 12-06-2004 08:28 PM

You might want to see a doctor, I think your going blind.

i use that resolution on my laptop with no problems at all

MikeVega 12-06-2004 08:34 PM

I use that setting on all my pc's .... but i be honest i do get a headache on days i write alot .. maybe i should change it ..

ive got a 15" lcd with 1024x768 and i have no problem reading anything

jeffrey 12-06-2004 08:41 PM

15" thats to small.

I have a pair of 19" crt running 1600x1200

I dont know how people live with a small monitor, or one with low rez, and without two monitors actually. I feel cramped without two.

yeah, a lot of people don't realize you have to also change the refresh rate along with the resolution...otherwise you get a headache, BIG TIME

Project-Shadow 12-07-2004 12:37 AM

1280x1024 has been my fave res since 17" anything smaller is just tackey.

chodadog 12-07-2004 01:03 AM

Refresh rates change when you increase your resolution. You want at LEAST 85 hertz. They say the minimum you should have is 75, but i still find that causes headeaches with more than a few hours of use. 85 hertz or higher is the way to go.
