Bonding Out Of Jail
I have to bond a friend out of jail, its 10pm...
http://www.orangecountyfl.net/bailbond/bondout.htm Purges will be transacted with the Clerk of the Civil Court during the normal business hours of the Clerk?s Office, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. When the purge is paid at the courthouse, the receipt and court order must be brought to the Central Booking Facility for release. Does that mean, i cant bond her until tomorrow? |
I beleive so. looks like your friend is spending the night in jail. :(
|
looks like it but you should go see for yourself...
|
It IS possible, and you should consult with a lawyer how to go about it. Otherwise, let her think about what she did until the morning :)

Jail Rules...:thumbsup

She works at a jewelery store. Last week she was telling me how her new boss was awsome. He noticed a scratch on her bracelet and replaced it for free, but said not to tell anyone. I guess he did that to frame her...

You should be able to call the jail directly where she is located and they will tell you. If she is given a bond, they she should be able to bond out most anytime at all. Call the jail where she is at. |
One of the best places to find out if your friend is bondable is by calling a bail bondsman. They will know whats up, its their job.

Purge - A purge is an amount of money paid to the county in lieu of serving a sentence. This is often seen in cases of Domestic Relations, (DRD) or child support. Cash is the only authorized method of payment. No personal or business checks may be accepted. The amount of a purge is set by a judge and must be paid in full. The depositor will go to the Jail Information area located on the south side of the Polk County Sheriff's Office Operations Center. The cash money will be collected from the depositor and counted in their presence. Money collected should be the exact amount required, as change cannot be made. Upon verification and completion of the purge paperwork, the depositor will be receive a receipt. The release process will then begin, which includes location and transportation of the inmate to Central Booking, if they have been transferred to the Central or South County Jail. That's Polk County, but should be the same in Orlando. Her story doesn't seem like it would warrant a purge. Her story also sounds a little fishy, but it's not my place to judge. So go bond her out. :winkwink: |
why not call the jail or a local bondsman and ask
|
Holy shit - I've been arrested, and spent two days in that exact jail. Orange County! In Orlando!
Anyway this is EXACTLY how it works - Well, the guy version, I don't know about female version. Anyway - They put you in a holding tank, 8x8 cell (no bars/metal/sound proof blue gates). In this 8x8, there is a bench - This bench fits 3 people, four-five, max. Everyone else? Sits on the floor, next to the shitter, etc etc. They will squeeze about 14-20 people in a single, shitty smelling cell. From there, they will call you out, within an hour or two - Collect your jewerly, piercings, money, and take your mugshot. After that, they send you back to the cell you just left, and you spend an additional hour in there. From there, they move you over to a larger cell - This cell will be much much larger, and will have phone access. Phone access is unlimited, it's actual in the cell. No "one" call limit. Problem is, all the negros hog these phones and call up relatives and girlfriends and chit chat. Nevertheless, you make your call, and she can call a bail bondsman. While shes making her calls, or what have you, you wait two-four more hours in the cell. Then - processing begins, and they will finger print you. Finger printing is a seamless process, however, it takes 4-8 hours for them to check your finger prints, to out of state. See if you've any warrants, if you're a fugitive, etc etc. In the meantime, as her prints are going through? You can bond her out. Once bonded - she will wait for her prints to come back good, if they do, they will release her pretty quickly. If you don't bond her? Or do not get a bondsmen, she will go in front of a majestry (sp?), the next day, during the afternoon. If the crime is pety, the judge/majestry will release her with a fine. That way you pay no bond + she's released. If her crime is of a serious nature, you can still bond her. However the judge may or may not increase/remove her bond. The whole point of bonding someone out, is to buy them sometime in the "free" world, get a lawyer, etc etc. But like I said, if the crime is pety, let her spend the night/good part of afternoon and wait for the majestry to release her. Game over. Good luck. |

If he or she was arrested and booked on a "warrant", she or he aint gonna go nowhere except the holding cell!
|
i have been in jail a few times
almost any jail has 24 hour bond....it takes a LONG time after you pay for them to actually appear through the doors, but I would make a pretty safe bet in saying that you can do it 24 hours |

what happens is that the person that bonds you out becomes in charge, and if you don't show up to court, the person that bonded you out is held responsible so, don't EVER bond anyone out that you don't trust 100% |

Call the 24/7 bail bonds co.....they are well versed in procedures.
It?s just the waiting for them to get processed out...and that?s a bitch. As long as they don?t have any detainers. |
why not just send a file?
|
She got arrested for petty theft around 5pm, they didnt do her finger prints until 11:30pm. Around the same time i payed her bail = $250. I waited in my car for 2hrs, and she's still locked up. I got tired of waiting, so i just got back home, 1:30am - 20min drive... I guess she'll call me when she gets out. Fun night!
Next friend that gets locked up is staying locked up! :winkwink: |
