Is there such thing as a DVD Burner?
 

ok in the ARS rewards section there is a DVD burner.

its a: Pioneer DVR-A03 DVD RW Drive Retail

I didnt know there was such thing as a DVD burner. But if there is, and this acutally does burn dvds... Then can someone let me know.. cuz i didnt think this technology was out yet....

Yeah, there are dvd burners... but the last time I priced them, they were going for around $5K... not exactly practical yet.

I was looking at the "DVR-A03 DVD BURNER FROM PIONEER -New Low Price $749.95!!" model. I noticed it says you can save to DLT for mass production. Do they mean a DLT tape drive?

You can buy one at best buy for $1000

But the media is still about $20 bucks per blank DVD.

It's not practical to store movies cheap but DAMN we're talking some serious gigs for only $20.
