NYU sent me a 100mill plus lawsuit type C&D because I had some cam chicks decorate their room as if they were in a NYU dorm and billed it as a NYU dorm cam. 1998 it was.

I think I'm the only celeb webmaster not to have heard from her! She once said that she didn't pursue legal action because she objected to her daughter's image used illegally and wanted the pics removed, but because she wanted to make money from lawsuits. Fair play to her I guess. :)

I've had 2 - been a few years ago and both regarding domain names.

1. The NFL sent me one about the domain quarterbackclub.com They wanted the domain. I still own it :1orglaugh

2. Retail shop Montogmery Ward wanted montgomerywards.com from me.(this was back before cybersquatting was ruled on).

Had a decently pleasant conversation with their lawyers - then they too got nasty with me so I redirected the domain to J.C. Penny's - they didn't like that either so I told them to take a nicer tone with me to avoid future embarrassments.

They wound up buying the domain from me.

that's fuckin' classic.
