    Motley Crue getting back together?

This morning I heard a "teaser" on the radio about Motley Crue getting back together and touring for a year, possibly another album. I won't know anything for sure until they make the announcement later tonight, but it really sounds like that could be the case. I was never a huge fan but seeing them live would be pretty cool.

Anyone know anything about this? If it isn't the Crue its another '80s band, I can't figure out who else it might be that would be worthwhile.

The new song (from Red, White & Crue [a greatest hits collection... gee i though we already got one of them]) isn't bad.. but it isn't good either.

I'm guessing it will be not all that good (their new album). It would be cool to see them perform some of the older stuff though

I used to be a big fan back in the day but they are all getting too old to be doing the same music that made them famous. Vince is just a fat little shmuck now. Nobody takes him seriously anymore. It's too bad. The rest of the band is extremely talented.

I dont think Vince could handle the whole year.. he can barely get through a fucking song at one show.

I just saw Vince Neil about a month ago up in the middle of nowhere (Marquette, Michigan). He did all Motley Crue songs, it sounded great and even though the rest of Crue weren't there, it was still nice seeing a legend like him right in front of me. Here's some pics from a local opening band that played for them.

I don't want a new album, I just want to see them play. I was too young when they were together.

Dr FeelGood has a few nice songs i'd say, but yes,
                              nothing compares to Shout ...

Yes, they are getting back together... They will be live on 98 Rock here in Tampa tonight at 8 PM, talking about the new tour.

We looked at getting tickets to the Tampa show on February 18, 2005, but decided against it. You can only get tickets through Fanfire.com for the time being, and it says "no refunds for cancelled shows". Sounds like a ripoff waiting to happen. In addition, the only way to get rows 1 and 2 is to purchase a package, backstage tour (not with the band), guitar picks, picture, and a few other goodies. It's $400 a ticket. Rows 3-15 are like $200 a ticket. Crazy.

We'll wait and see if they go on sale through Ticketmaster.com, even though the seats won't be as good.

They could just remix every other hot song out there... It worked for countless rap stars

Better yet, They could just get shot or go to jail or both.

Then they could rape a kid... ;-p

I heard this too on the radio this morning, although they are keeping it quiet for some reason with the press. However, if you were subscribed to their official fan site mailing list, then supposedly they gave all the details in a recent email.

Hopefully they'll play somewhere around here, I would like to check them out too.
