Dear Smashbucks Partner,

From Friday December 3rd to Sunday December 5th, our sites underwent a major DOS (denial of service) attack. Fortunately, our hosting company and techs are world class. They ran 24/7 shifts and were able to block the thousands of IP addresses that were hammering our servers and prevented a complete shutdown.

Most site outages were very intermittent and lasted only 10-15 minutes at a time. The worst outage being 4am - 1pm Saturday and 2am - 4am Sunday Pacific Time.

Our stats server is separate from the tours so, your click stats kept counting but the tours and sites were dead during those times. This will reflect as high ratios and lower sales over the weekend.

We've completly stopped the attacks as of 8am Sunday. Further, our team installed custom apache mods to the servers and additional security to our membership sites to prevent any further disruption.
