I'm confused, was it the same person starting both threads? I remember that thread and both logos but how did the person who owned the site not notice the same logos submitted by two different people?

I knew something was fishy right from the start so I typed in dreamlandanimalrescue.com and there I went, straight to their site. At first I thought he was trying to resell.

So I mailed the owners (Stephanie and Gary) and told them about this.A quote from the mail of our e-mail correspondance:

"That is interesting how that guy p3rsin was taking credit for your work, i'll watch out if i see him posting again. Photoshop format would be great, I should be able to recieve an attachment of that size with no problem. If it bounces back from my address because of the size can you sent it to my husbands gmail address XXXXXX"

While I do have to say p3rsian did not actually rip us designers off for money, he didn't reply in the thread he made any more. That was pretty unprofessional if you ask me.

So I mailed the owners of the site the source files and they have it up on their site now:

pretty sad, you guys are on this guy because you're thinking he took credit for your design. looks like to me he posts on that board or visits and is friends with those people and he thought this would be a good place to help them get a logo. he clearly states this is a message from a friend of his and posts their exact message.

yeah he could have said hey so and so friend of mine helped me by making this for you guys.

but this goes a long long long way from being a scammer.

i don't even know the guy, i just looked at it all objectively and thought hey, if this were me i would go to the guy and say hey could you let them know we made the designs for them.

i hardly think of someone as a scammer because they posted a thread saying they need a logo for a friend for free for an animal shelter and then they went and posted them on a site, but didn't claim to have designed them and didn't even remove the watermark that gave the designers site from one of them. i hardly think of that as a being a scammer, waste your time on something better you fucking loser.

of course that's just this one situation i'm judging it on, i don't know him otherwise or his biz otherwise.

"im not done yet..." is in one of his threads, sounds to me as though he's "not done creating the logos", an not simply "not done posting them on this site."

well it depends on how you're looking at it, could be seen either way, you happen to see it as though he's saying he's not done creating because you are afraid he's stealing from you.

i'm just saying look at it objectively, as opposed to outright saying he's a scammer by posting some designs for free to help out a friend running an animal shelter.
