MP3 Player Recommendation?

I need to get a gift for my GF's sister... I don't need anything super advanced..SHe just needs it for working out at the gym. Can you make any recommendations in the $150-$250 range?

I know nothing about these, so please help an schmuck out! :thumbsup

The Apple Ipod or the new Creative Zen are both kickass players - if its for a girl i would go for the Ipod in one of the new fresh colors - sure that would be a hit ;)

Is the storage space enough? It's 5 gigs, right?

Well not sure about the Zen only tried it once. But the ipod you can get in several different version - think the latest is like 40GB :D

rio carbon around 250

MuVo Micro N200 around 150

Rio Forge around 220

Samsung YP-T5VC around 150

Rave mp AMP 256 around 130

Under your budget for storage and features id go for a 5 gig Rio Carbon :thumbsup

I just got the new Creative Zen Micro. It's 5gb and has a ton of more features than the mini. I'd go with that if you're looking for a compact player.

I also have the Creative Zen Xtra. It's 40gb and only cost $249. Go with that if you're looking for lots of harddrive space.

I've played with both Creative's players, and Ipods and have to say Creative is the better deal.

Ive been looking for one as well but the prices are crazy in Holland. If an mp3 player costs 250 dollars in the US then usually it costs somelike like 350 euros here (thats like 450 dollars).

but for working out.. i'd get something smaller than what people have recommended... go with one of those that strap to your arm or wrist... only thing you should look for is the battery life.. some are good, alot are horrible :thumbsup

Yes it's crazy in europe  I've bought creative muvo 128MB with FM for GF for the same price which I would pay for MuVo Micro N200 512 MB at some US store :feels-hot
Althought US$ nowadays has shitty value, I can't feel this europe by lower prices

Says it gets up to 20 hours.... We'll see... The average workout is about 2 hours for her, so it should have enough juice for that.
