Hi there,
I was in Tokyo a few months back and yes it is expensive! I am sure you will have a great time, because it is a really nice country. But you have to pay $ 8,- for a beer to have some fun :thumbsup |

The whole Japan is fucking expensive thing is a sham. I was reading a car mag once, and the guys managed to live in Japan on 10 dollars a day. The places that are expensive are the tourist spots. Stick to the REAL japan and you'll find it's nowhere near as expensive as people claim. Oh and it helps to know some Japanese if you plan on trying to find area's where you can get a mcdonalds burger for a buck :Graucho

ill eat japanese food.. fuck fast food. I ate Micky D's in Canada once. And it was so over priced and the big mac tasted like shit.
|
cool . have fun man

Have fun, make sure you guys take lotsa pics. :)

I was there 3 times. It's not tooo expensive. Some things are a bit overprised but some are underprised.
1) Mcdonalds burgers are cheaper in Japan 2) Stay away from pizza and hamburgers (unless they are from mosburger) 3) Try to find an all you can eat yakineeku (spelt wrong, pronoucned right) restaurant. Mmmm 4) If you want to get laid for free, go to a club in shibuya. 5) Love hotels are cheaper than regular hotels, almost half price! And they are 10 times better! Bigger bed, couches, shower room, atmosphere, bondage chairs. Even if your with a guy, stay at a love hotel, $50-$60 a night. Hope this helps ;) |
I'm planning a trip for next year. I have a friend who spends about 7 days a month there and said to stay away from touristy places and it's not expensive at all :)
