Good shopping carts
 

Hey guys just looking for info on the shopping cart software you think is good, safe and not overly expensive. needs to be easy to update as the owner wants to eventually be able to update products and images. any ideas?

why not find a host that comes with that script for free? :glugglug

we use oscommerce with a netbilling backend

oscommerce is one of the best out there, and it is open source, so it is free

Another vote for oscommerce (again). Open source that works and works well.

i hear wal-mart has some nice ones. solid wheels, good metal.

Try www.clickcartpro.com . I use this software and it allows you to do everything! Also comes setup to utilize 31 different processors, I think (I only use three). It's not cheap or free, but, you get what you pay for.

I had 5 sites that used Securenetshop. We were losing sales because the transaction response time from Securenetshop was too long. Therefore, we moved to osCommerce.

We were able to determine the problem by using a site monitoring service.

We also had a problem where the customer completed an order but it was not shown in the shopping cart. We knew about the order because we received a bank authorization.

You should test their cart.

And you could have a host with auto-install. I have that on my boxes with Cpanel and Fantastico....
