Yeah, but we're talking obsenity here, not legality. Murder is illegal but showing fake murder is fine because it's not obcene. Rape is obscene whether it's fake or not. Or at least that's the legal point the prosecutor wants to make.

Of course, I see rape all the time in hollywood movies. But there is "artistic value" in those movies. At least that's the theory.

I know an fbi agent who investigates obscenity. He asked me what content I thought was ok to show. I told him that John Asssshcroft was the personification of the Religious Right and if he had his way he'd shut down all porn, but he knows he can't so he doen't try. I never said I thought it was obscene. I don't give a damn what people do as long as they don't force it on others.

I think the real issue is "what does a prosecutor think he can talk a jury into?" A prosecutor won't drag a bondage site into court, he'll lose because half the jury has done bondage. But he'll do beasts because most of the jury thinks it's disgusting and the few who don't won't admit it, so they'll vote for conviction.

So I'll rephrase. It's about "what a prosecutor thinks he can talk a jury into." IE, the extreme stuff.
