I saw the last Earls Court concert. Amazing performance although most of the Floyd people were almost overshadowed by the new drummer guy in the cage :)

The Wall followed by Dark Side. I also seem to be one of the few people that really like the Division Bell. I'm probably just showing my age by doing so :glugglug

Echos. It's their early material when the drugs were better.

They are awesome in concert, saw them twice in one week, 1994 at Earls Court .. absolutely stunning. The division bell is excellent, listening to it now and there is also an "unreleased versions from the movie - the wall" on the playlist queue ;)

I do hope they do more concerts, would love to see them again.

After the success of the last tour (quickest ever sellout until the stones beat it a short while later) I was hoping another would follow within a year or three. Unfortunately I think they're genuinely getting too old now to repeat it which is a huge shame.

They certainly don't need the money and I'd imagine at that age touring must get very tiring. Oh to have been born 10yrs earlier to have caught the wall tour.

Tat2Jr 12-04-2004 07:58 AM

Animals - is way on top, then I guess The Wall.

I have individual songs I like on various albums but if I were going to sit down and listen to an entire Pink Floyd album it would probably be Umma Gumma because it is so damn weird:1orglaugh and with headphones the bouncing stereo effects are kinda fun:glugglug

The album is called Meddle

Tala 12-04-2004 10:37 AM

Dark Side of the Moon, no question. I love an album that tells a story. The Wall is okay, there's certain songs I like, but there's something....lacking...I can't put my finger on it....:helpme

coolfuck 12-04-2004 10:40 AM

i dont like them!

Steve 12-04-2004 10:45 AM

It's easier to pick out Pink Floyd albums I didn't like, instead of picking a favorite.

I was into everything they did thru the Waters/Gilmour era - not too into the Sid times (a little too 60's for me) and even though I saw the Momentary Lapse Of Reason tour, I didn't think it was up to the earlier stuff.

ztik 12-04-2004 10:48 AM

Piper at the gates of dawn(old school)/Devision Bell :thumbsup

Goatse 12-05-2004 03:46 AM

Piper at the Gates of Damn. Syd was perhaps the greatest musical genius of his time, but he took much acid for his own good. :(

Dark Side of the moon
A momentary lapse of reason

memories.... damn, I remember me and my brothers sitting in a car getting high listening to Dark Side Of The Moon, out of no where our dad shows up wasn't no way to hide what we were doing we put the window down and all the smoke went out all in his face my dad stood there looking at us like we were crazy , he didn't say shit just told us to follow him and mom to the all you can eat breakfast buffet ... my dad was so fukkin cool

nothing better then some Pink Floyd when you're high...well except maybe a all you can eat breakfast buffet
