would you take someone out to a nice restaurant for dinner

even though you doubt they'd truly appreciate the wine list, etc. not being an asshole here, just a possible reality.

what do you think?

Hustlin Entertainment 12-03-2004 07:57 PM

if you benefit from it somehow go for it

cezam 12-03-2004 07:57 PM

yes i would, why not

.:St Ides:. 12-03-2004 07:57 PM

Not really, I'd go with something in the middle. If it's something very fine they really won't appreciate what they are having

Jace 12-03-2004 07:58 PM

if you enjoy it and can possibly educate them on how to enjoy it then it is worth it

Sly 12-03-2004 07:58 PM

I don't know a drop about wine. Have no real interest either. How about whiskey instead?

Crypt 12-03-2004 08:00 PM

Even if she dont like wine or not, atm she do great blowjob after, who cares

I agree with this....everyone is not born knowing how to do things....so if you educate the person, they can eventually appreciate it...:winkwink:

wine is at the same time like mathematics and abstract art. and is a great way to solidify the female counterpart. sly.

I would because I enjoy good food and wine, and I would be there too. On the flip side, would you really want to eat at dump just because your guest might not know how to appreciate fine dining. :)

disclaimer: if he/she is a real pig I sure wouldn't take them to a nice restuarant that I want to go back to.

Perhaps Panda Express is more suitable.

TheMob 12-03-2004 08:11 PM

if you can afford it, why not?

Spunky 12-03-2004 08:11 PM

Luckily the whores I go out with appreciate beer :glugglug

Sly 12-03-2004 08:12 PM

Just because they may not be "refined" enough to appreciate such things does not mean that you will enjoy it any less.

Alky 12-03-2004 08:15 PM

a lot of times, expensive restaurants have food that the normal person does not eat often. a lot of tastes people never experienced. so they might really not like the experience.

but its a nice gesture.

wtf does the wine list have to do with appreciating a good restaurant? Seriously....

You can be a food connisseur (sp) and suck at wine tasting.

But then again...how can you suck at wine tasting at all? If the shit tastes good to you, it's good wine. If the food tastes good, it's good food.

You may know about wine but I may know about scotch, or cigars, or whatever. Either way, it has nothing to do with enjoying a restaurant.

i didn't mean to put too much emphasis on wine. more or less i agree with you BVF.

quiet 12-03-2004 08:20 PM

though at the same time, wine can be such an interesting thing to explore.

And then there are those of us who enjoy a well rounded package.

Drinks, appetizer, entree, wine, and coffee....Maybe even dessert.

Not everybody enjoys a good 40oz and a bucket of chicken ya know. http://thespacebulldog.com/Pics/chicken.gif

mardigras 12-03-2004 08:23 PM

A nice restaurant will have cocktails for those not into wine:glugglug

quiet 12-03-2004 08:42 PM

new girl = fun

:glugglug

(and it was truly all about the wine list) i'll be back in a couple of hours

detoxed 12-03-2004 09:03 PM

About 3% of the population would appreciate a wine list of any type

GTS Mark 12-03-2004 09:09 PM

I enjoy wine but I would definetely not call myself a wine drinker. I do however enjoy a nice dinner... Sure beats KFC :1orglaugh

Where in my post where I talked about wine, scotch, cigars, good food, etc, did you find the notion that I was talking about a 40oz and a bucket of chicken?

And I enjoy the "well rounded package" PLUS I can enjoy the 40oz and chicken......

I'm just cool like that. :glugglug

myjah 12-03-2004 09:18 PM

what do you think?

Not being an asshole maybe...but pretentious?

As for wine...I cannot tolerate the taste of any wine...at the least...any wine I have ever tasted. To me a nice restaurant is one that is reasonably clean...serves a reasonably quality of food...in reasonable quantities...at a reasonable price. It has been my experience that "nice" restaurants are on the expensive side and the quality of the food fails to justify the expense...but admittedly...sometimes the ambiance helps to justify the expense.

drctfiesta 12-03-2004 10:04 PM

I would and I did and I will

SleazyDream 12-03-2004 10:52 PM

is it right to judge others?

even if your right

wes 12-03-2004 10:54 PM

if you have the money go for it. If she won't appreciate it go somewhere else. Unless you will fuck her after. :2 cents:

Indica 12-03-2004 10:57 PM

I dont see why not. Are you sure the wine list woun't be appreciated? Or learned to be appreciated. Some dont know better, till their taught better. :2 cents:

KRL 12-03-2004 10:57 PM

Absolutely, not everyone is fortunate to have an upbringing with culture. I think she will appreciate it and enjoy it.

Good luck Q!

Now, now - I was raised in a very wealthy household loaded with culture...and Southern Baptist beliefs. I don't know shit about wine except what I like which can range from a $2 bottle with a screw top to a $300 bottle I fell in love with :)
