People Are Getting Pissed Off With My Pop Ups!
 

Well shit! I signed up with a new sponsor called offshore clicks and they pay you per impression only problem is that they insert 10 frickin million pop ups on the exit console.

I have heard from a few people they are not too fond of all the pop ups and would not come back. Should I take them down? Or just weather the storm as most of my traffic is first time traffic.

I am kind of on the fence because I have made pretty decent $$$ in the last few days with these guys.
Opinions? Suggestions?

Well, can't say what's right for you, but the last week or so, I've been going through my sites and takin' down any sponsors that pop more than two... I've found that it just ain't worth it to send 'em to popup hell anymore.

If you make money from them, then don't sweat the surfer revolt...if they didn't click a sponsor, then who really cares? They are costing you money and not making you any.

I agree consoles aren't as effective as they used to be. On our tours we've cut them down substantially and have actually seen a nice little rise in earnings from the exits...but as long as you're getting paid for them and making a profit, keep with them ;)

Offshore is fine if you are a CJ. TGP's wont trade with them.

I tend to remove all trades that use them.

Why don't you fudgies use "Popup Stopper"?

What the hell is that?

Most of the visitors don't uses "popup stoppers" or "popup erasers", heehe.
Exxxotica, these are softwares that disables all pop-ups (they won't pop).

It's like "no ad" softwares. They both sucks from webmasters/advertisers point of view.

Errrr... One of my link trades cut me off today because of people complaining about the pop ups. You know I say fuck it, I am making good $$$ off it. They don't have to pay my bills!

The current versions of Mozilla have an option to disable all window.open() calls during the document load and unload events.

I've had it set for a while now, and no-more pop-ups unless *I* trigger them by clicking on a link. This kind of thing is only going to become more popular...
