Why do some webmasters remove other webmasters' ref codes when signing up w/sponsors?

Well, that's different. There's some self gain in shaving others, but there's no gain in removing ref links..

No, but it leads to the same thing... taking money out of the other person's pocket.

It's all about not giving someone else what they deserve.

Cause they're stingy little hahahahas who need to start acting more like partners in this biz and realize the web's to big for you take over with your little "One Man Band".

Probably because they don't want you to make money from their work. Dunno any other reason.

well without me they wouldn't make any money from that source, so it only seems fair

I don't know why, but it's an asshole practice. We all work just as hard and giving a person a reward for them giving their time is only fair. :2 cents:

Well, I can only think of 2 possibilities:

a) They're paranoid.
b) They really doesn't like your site. :1orglaugh
