I want to start one for friends to keep in touch with things like address book, message board and calendar with the ability to send out notices for important dates. Any suggestions for scripts/software for this?

No doubt. All 3 of my kids have their own "name".com domains but they are all password protected for family only.

We have one for the baby, the grandparents are too far away and need to see him grow up ; )
