Just steal their identities yourself. :2 cents:

You sell/distribute this information and someone makes a beef or a university catches wind - yer gonna get ass raped...without lube.
Go take a look at all post secondary institution's privacy policies in the US. That information isn't even shared between institutions without a signed release from the respective student. The integrity of academic records & institutional privacy isn't something any university takes lightly. Good luck... |

And frankly, attempting to profit off something that by it's nature must have been obtained by illicit means that intentionally violates the rights of both individuals & integrity of academic institutions is an absolute demonstration of a complete and utter lack of any ethical standards.
|
when i was in college and living off-campus, i still got a ton of student targeted junk mail (not email). I'm sure my information was shared by the school, but not sure about the SSN#

edit-only a select few will truly speak their mind..... |
You academic records weren't...that's illegal without your signed permission. A university isn't even allowed to discuss your enrollment status without your permission.

Don't go making acqusations blindly. I'm not selling. Not distributing. If you have products or services to sell then we can do it. |

Show me 39 million releases and I'll retract everything I've said. Otherwise you're distrubiting material that was obtained in less than appropriate means and it's more than unethical...it's pathetic to profit off of it.
|
yikes.

Follow the papertrail:
The minute my son entered college he received hundreds of credit card solicitations, loan applications, military recruitment info, etc. He merely had to fill out JUST ONE of them and they'd have all the information KRL has that they could then resell and never violate any privacy policy with a college they didn't even represent. |

What don't you understand? |
KRL,
dbase I could really care less about, name's address's, etc. but your def. on a fine line there with you say SS#'s :( Ouch, there is privacy laws, and other laws against sharing that info. Except for that, you always seem like a straight shooter :) |

Please state what I've done to offend you prior that you have to constantly be a dick with me. If I have said anything incorrectly to you I will gladly see if it was in error or not deserved and will apologize. I am very easy to get along with Twisty. Is it still the imaginary outsourcing thing? I posted that I only have one outsourced staffer right now. I pay him 3 times what he said he would work for which yes is less expensive than comparable in the US. But he is very talented and just happened to be the one that came highly recommended to me and happened to live in a country with lower wages than in the US. So I don't think I'm ruining the US economy by having 1 single outsourced staffer. |

BTW here's the mailing address of the NCA: NCA Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement Arizona State University PO Box 871008 Tempe, AZ 85287-1008 IF there's nothing wrong with what you have...pass it by them first. Should be no problem |
Can try to sell them porn? Could figure out what geeks/degrees like what kind of porn, etc..

It seems like a lot of you don't realize the depth of the database marketplace in today's world. And I'm not going to do something with some dick weeds. It would have to be a qualified product or service and a highly qualified company. There are a lot of people on here with other mainstream businesses besides adult. That was the intended audience. Not to sell fucking porn or the like. |

If you want...I know some people there. I'd be happy to do it for you or have the chancellor at my university do it. I'd of course, be happy to sign a NDA before hand. |

Aeon, think about it - if my kid had filled out even one of these applications, he would have put in "college student" as his occupation and the address where he's attending college. If you don't think there are thousands of databases cross referencing that information, you're fooling yourself. In addition, cell phone companies, utility companies, even grocery stores get that exact same information when you apply for an account with them. It take milliseconds to know the address you put on there is on a college campus, ergo the chances that you attend college are VERY high. I've been dealing with mailing lists since I worked for my Dad in the 70's and the information that's out there is 1000 times more advanced now. Trust me, they can know it's a college kid, what dorm he lives in, if he buys beer at the store and what kind of toilet paper he prefers without getting one bit of info from the college itself. |
