well if it was just cream (like the test cream) then maybe he didnt know its a serious form of test since its a cream and most people think needles when they think steroids.

I'm sure he knew, but had a don't ask don't tell type of deal with his trainer. That way when something like this did come up he could say he did not know. It's very simple really.

there are a lot of athletes that take some sort of sterioid. Might not actually be a steriod about some sort of pill/injection. Don't have to be a genious. I'm friends with a minor league baseball player and there are lot of people doing it...
