When you guys are sleeping with your...(Picture)

heater on. What do you set the thermostat at.
I sleep well when it's at about 70.

Is that normal? Too hot or Too cold?

70 for sleeping is pretty high, even for not sleeping. I guess we do about 65 during the day and 60 at night, finally got the stupid thing working.

spamofon 12-03-2004 01:03 AM

70-72

No, I just don't see the point in heating the whole house when a sweatshirt or blanket will do the trick. Even a small space heater.

Believe me, the past couple weeks I've been freezing my ass off.

I only heat my room as well.

Must try it. What cost more, the bottle, the hangover or the gas bill if I just turn on the heater.

you people live like animals, i grew up in arizona, ive been in europe for 2 years now and i still cant deal with the cold, i keep my thermostat 21C durning the day and the timer turns it off while im asleep, (just use 2 blankets) and turns it back on an hour before i wake up so im motivated to get out from under the blankets. my first 6 months here i had the thermostat at 24-25C but i had to pay a 750 euro overage at the end of the year on my UTILITIES INCLUDED apartment , that pissed me off.

I like for there to be frost on the carpet when I sleep.

When I'm under the covers and it's cold around me but body temp under the covers... it's just perfect.

Semi-Retired-Dave 12-03-2004 09:31 AM

Some of you are crazy, that's cold.

The way this house was built, there is no central heat, so Have have a floor heater in the bedroom, and one in the living room. We only use the one in the bedroom wehn we go to sleep, and we only keep it warm in the room, because we have a parrot that has to be warm,

I second that ... what heater. I live in Canada (eh). If it is not -20, there is no need.

I still have windows open in my house.

I love it being cold at night and getting all warm under the covers, but lately I've had to turn the heat on, just getting too cold. The hottest I'll let it get is 72 and that's pushing it.

I guess that't normal then.

I can't see how some people can sleep being in the 60s

vending_machine 12-03-2004 11:53 AM

Back in Norway I used to sleep with the window open when it was -10C or even colder outside.. :)

It's been staying around 64 - 65 inside at night. I've only turned the heat on once so far this year.

Lane 12-03-2004 01:23 PM

Cory W 12-03-2004 01:26 PM

Don't get me started, the past few nights have been freezing.

I did not sign up for cold weather when I moved here....
