the middle class is dying

and i ain't the first to say this, but its gotten blatantly pathetic. if you're poor, the government will pay for everything you need, and if you're rich, you already have all you need.

so the working middle class suffers since it makes to much to get assistance from the government but still doesnt make enough to support itself.

:2 cents: time for a revoltution eh?

I don't know how people survive on a regular income with the way the cost of living is.

Nicky 12-02-2004 08:04 PM

The middle class are screwed in this type of economy. They get hit hard with taxes, they don't qualify for any assitance and the cost of decent housing and the basics like food just keep skyrocketing.

well there are the upper middle class and the lower middle class. The upper middle class runs in that range. The lower middle class runs $37,500 to $75,000.

Exactly, 30-35K and thats pushing it.

People making 40-50 + can at least make ends meet...well almost.
Anything below that and its a fucking struggle to pay the bills and have everything you need.
Nevermind trying to save a few bucks for a rainy day

Tax cuts slanted for the rich.

Eliminating double taxation of dividends (mostly helps poeple who don't have to work for a living).

Anyone with debt (mostly middle class) is going to be hit by the inflation caused by dollar devaluation/war.....

I'm not even gonna include social security problems....

Or all the pork and growing tax loopholes created for specific companies....

Dump your debt if you have any. :2 cents:

This is the main reason I'm moving to Kentucky it's a becautiful place but it's also a lot cheaper to live there you have to pay 1500 minimum for a3 bedroom apartment up here in the boston area and only 850 for a mortgage on a house in Kentucky...

The range is much larger than that, and 27k a year isn't even 100 bucks a day...

pornguy 12-02-2004 09:37 PM

One of the biggest problem that the people in the US face, is that they are always buying so much shit that they dont need.

They sit in front of the TV and watch for hours on in, Then they realize that it is a MUST to have that big screen tv that they can not afford, or that they MUST have the designer clothes that some movie star was wearing. BUt they can not afford to get their car fixed, or go to school, or put their kid through school.
