If hes at ground level near you he will try to run. If you scare him to much or corner him he will play dead (hence the term playing possum). And they are VERY good at playing dead. My dogs were going ape shit around one one night. Poor little bastard was just laying there I thought they may have actualy killed him.

After I pulled the dogs in I shut the lights off and watched. He got up looked around, and walked away. Pretty neat shit.
