yeah how did you know that was the problem. My comp's been acting up lately too and I am wonering if Norton is doing it?

It's NOrton. I just bought the Personal firewall and the new anti-virus software combo pack yesterday cause I had to reformat my pc.

After I reformatted, my comp was running smooth as butter online but as SOON as I installed that Norton, the shit froze up.

I went to boot my comp up this morning and it takes five minutes for my shit to get booted up....I haven't even installed the personal firewall. I wasted sixty bucks when I could have gotten something for free off the net.

Norton products are pure fucking crap. All except Norton Ghost.

i recently removed my Norton Security System since it takes too much of the processing power

im having norton problems too..

shit i need a good virus program that actully is on the ball with updates and such.

norton sucks. period. get kaspersky.

if you have personal webserver (iis) running its probably whats slowing it down

go to services and set it to manual startup and reboot

should load faster, then you can start it up from services and it starts normally

I had to uninstall norton last night due to problems with lagging and connecting to the internet. What problems were you having?

Get a good hardware firewall :2 cents: Norton sucks.

Never had a problem with Norton at all...been using it for about 5 years on various machines...shrugs.
