I am buying a laptop today some advise would be very helpful

I posted a thread about this a while back but held off on buying my laptop until now and since the GFY search function is not working I can not look back at the thread. I want to buy a laptop today. I have the Sony Vaio desktop and love it and was thinking about the sony Vaio notebook.

Can you guys please tell me your thoughts? I would appreciate it. Also where is a good place to purchase it online or at a particular store.

Thanks:thumbsup

I love my toshiba :)

I also suggest investing a couple hundred bucks on an external backup harddrive that you can connect to via USB. Back your files up to it regularly. It will save you alot of time/hassle/money if your main laptop harddrive gets a deadly virus (that happened to me :( ) or if your laptop gets lost/stolen. I have the 160gig Netdisk Ximeta backup drive :2 cents:

Dell is good as well.

Whichever brand you choose (I prefer Fujitsu), get one that uses the new screen technology (don't remember the name). You'll see the difference when you see it :)

Whilst resembling a laptop computer, if you see this in a store you have walked to far - this is a sandwich maker.

Actually...it just fell to #2 in sales and customer satisfaction behind Dell for the 1st time ever.

Get a Sony Vaio. I've had mine for three years and it's still great. I just did a system restore last night due to the viruses and it still works like it's brand new. I love it.

rj2kix 12-02-2004 01:11 PM
