I am buying a laptop today some advise would be very helpful
I posted a thread about this a while back but held off on buying my laptop until now and since the GFY search function is not working I can not look back at the thread. I want to buy a laptop today. I have the Sony Vaio desktop and love it and was thinking about the sony Vaio notebook.
Can you guys please tell me your thoughts? I would appreciate it. Also where is a good place to purchase it online or at a particular store. Thanks:thumbsup |

HP is no. 1

stay away from HP, Compaq, Gateway.

I love my toshiba :)
I also suggest investing a couple hundred bucks on an external backup harddrive that you can connect to via USB. Back your files up to it regularly. It will save you alot of time/hassle/money if your main laptop harddrive gets a deadly virus (that happened to me :( ) or if your laptop gets lost/stolen. I have the 160gig Netdisk Ximeta backup drive :2 cents: |

Whichever brand you choose (I prefer Fujitsu), get one that uses the new screen technology (don't remember the name). You'll see the difference when you see it :)

Whilst resembling a laptop computer, if you see this in a store you have walked to far - this is a sandwich maker. |
as long as it has the "any key"

Get a Sony Vaio. I've had mine for three years and it's still great. I just did a system restore last night due to the viruses and it still works like it's brand new. I love it.
