Has money made you happier???

I am depressed today. it is cold here, and I want to be somewhere else. The cool thing is I can be somewhere else very soon! So in that sense money is very cool but am I happier??? not today.

you cant buy love.... she loves your money but not you lol

PHPdude 12-15-2004 05:03 AM

Money will never make you happerier, the only thing is that when you have a great deal of money you get a sense of security in you which releaves stresses of having to worry about everyday issues related to managing your finaces.

Thats what i think.

Violetta 12-15-2004 07:16 AM

I was always rich. Even when I was broke i had a 'rich heart'. Now I do what I want. Soon my women won't have to work anymore and that will make me really happy

EscortBiz 12-15-2004 08:41 AM

it made me more calm about things and on the other hand more stressed about other things overall ill take money over no money

manne 12-15-2004 08:51 AM

yes :thumbsup

Furious_Female 12-15-2004 08:56 AM

In the short term, sure money can make you "happy." It can alleviate stress, enable you to do and see things etc. But in the long term, money isn't the answer to everything. It's a temporary high, the equivalent of eating a candy bar or something. It doesn't solve everything.

I've been rich and I've been poor and all I can say is, money is not the answer. In fact, it usually makes you even more miserable eventually. When you have money, you just have different types of problems than you would have without money.

Money really is the root of all evil. It tears families apart, turns friends against each other, makes people act out of character... it's insane what money does to people. Humans are strange creatures... some of us spend all our lives trying to attain "platinum status" and for what? It's all temporary. Life is temporary. You think you own a house or a car? Wrong. You're just utilizing it until you die. You own nothing, no matter how hard anyone tries to convince you otherwise. It's all an illusion.

Would you be less sad/depressed if you hadnt the money?? i guess not so i pick "the lots of money" option!

Libertine 12-15-2004 09:01 AM

No. I was happy when I had no money, and am miserable now that I have money.

LA Mike 12-15-2004 09:05 AM

I wouldnt give mine up (money that is) but honestly I'm no more happy then when I was living paycheck to paycheck.

Rob 12-15-2004 09:06 AM

HELL YES!!!

You don't see too many happy homeless people now do you?

Lykos 12-15-2004 09:51 AM

Don't know...never had them as much as i wanted or needed:)

strobi 12-15-2004 10:28 AM

Nope, it doesn't. But I love the feel of security. I'm not a big spender at all (what does a man need?) but I love having alot of money to back me up if things go wrong.

That's a big truth in that. Money is only a frame of mind. If you have a rich mind, you'll always will be rich, even if you have no money. Very true.... I've lost bigtime in the past and still, I feeled much richer than some of the people with more money in the bank.

it's all about the balance

while money can't buy happiness, it makes misery a lot more pleasant, and at least you don't worry about paying your bills, or feeding your family...

xclusive 12-15-2004 10:50 AM

You have to be willing to move to a place you can afford or you will never get ahead...
